Love & Hip Hop Atlanta: Season 2

LHipHop

Okay, Okay, I know I have been out of commission for quite some time now, but I am right on time for the most talked about, most viewed Atlanta train wreck; Love and Hip Hop! I say that with LOVE! 😉 As you all know I am a reality show junkie and although I have been away from my blog and getting my  “reality” together, I have been keeping up with all the seasons of your favorite VH1, Bravo, MTV, Oxygen, Style Network, etc… shows and will be updating you on my personal opinions of the most tragic and ratchett events to hit television. Anyway, enough about me, now back to our scheduled program!

Last night’s episode of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta was not completely shocking as we all know pretty much, what to expect since the first season. I will say that Mimi is off of her rocker these days. While last season we all felt sorry for her that she was played by her “baby daddy”, not only in life, but for millions of viewers to see; I am disappointed that she cannot see how beautiful and intelligent she is. She does not know her self worth. And once you give in to a guy for so long, he knows he can continue to do whatever he wants and you will still be in his corner for the most part. Stevie J is actually laughing at you and you are consistently crying over something he is clearly NOT going to change. Okay, I refuse to preach too much! I get it for the devils advocate who are out there and believe me I been there and done that so I GET IT… Still, it is becoming a little boring.

Now, Joseline is Joseline! She is the same and you can only respect a person who is exactly what they claim to be. She is definitely a train wreck, but she keeps it all the way REAL! She is all about her money by any means necessary! She is aware of her attributes and uses them to her advantage so she can get whatever she wants at any given time. Stevie J is exactly what and who he portrays. Joseline and Mimi have called him a pu$$y on the show and he laughs it off, but they all know where they stand with each other and they all know their own boundaries with each other. That is why Joseline is so bold to walk up in the house and piss off Mimi. Because Stevie will not say shit and Mimi will not do shit! That is the crazy threesome they have going on. And let us all face it… Mona Scott Young’s LHH series are a tad bit fabricated. While some beefs are real, they set-up a lot of the events to occur.

Now WTF is up with Momma Dee? Scrappy’s momma needs to have several seats! She is always in the mix giving her son the worst advice EVER! Thank GOD he is smart enough to ignore most of the ignorance that comes out of her mouth. Shay has found her way from the gutters of Milwaukee to make it onto another reality show and a second season, might I add! And I am from MKE so keep the comments about the city or your homie Shay to a minimum, please and thanks! Yes, I respect you trying to get your money up and stay relevant for as long as you possibly can; however, why do you want to chase a nigga who CLEARLY said in front of the ENTIRE world that he does not want you and proposed to the next lady? I mean seriously? You choose to make another fool out of yourself because his mama likes you? And Momma Dee to be exact? That is complete foolishness!

K Michelle did not have a big part of the show. I do feel her on Arianne though. I mean Arianne, if a nigga [male] is so insignificant that you can mention him on a radio show to all the listeners, then you should have been real enough to mention it to your so-called friend who you know was with him. You kept that a secret on purpose! Stop playing chile! I am excited to see what this season will bring. I will keep you posted on my thoughts and opinions so let me know what you think! Did you enjoy last night’s episode? Post a comment and follow my blog. I promise to keep you entertained!

XOXO!

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta: Cry Baby Cry Baby…

This episode begins with tears and ends the very same. It is almost as if the producers said they were preparing to take the show to broadway so they had prove who could drop the most tears. I hate to say that, as I believe some tears throughout the show more than others. Still, the producers could have made the show more authentic by dropping the tears throughout the episodes and not bundle them all into one.

Karlie Redd does not cry about the advice she gets from her manager. Apparently, she needs to drop Benzino because he is no longer relevant in the music industry. By that I mean, he does not have the “credibility” (arguable), that he had in the past with his rap career (bombed) and The Source Magazine. Most people do not like him because he is pretty wack. Not to mention, his head/body ratio is a little off. Benzino cries to Karlie Redd (literally – and I do mean tears) to keep their relationship going. He does point out that her career is just as irrelevant as his. That was funny! The boy does give good advice. Benzino pulls her back in by setting up a meeting with Vincent Herbert (husband/manager of Tamar Braxton). I would love to see what Vince heard from Karlie as he praised her music. Wait until Tamar gets a listen to this potential “client”. Once they hear what I did last week, he may change his mind very soon.

K Michelle has Mimi listen to a well written song about Mimi’s life with Stevie J. I loved the song and its harmonies. Mimi goes out to hear K. Michelle perform her new song. To her surprise, Stevie J is on stage performing a song for her as well. “I’m sick of all the fussing, fighting..”, sings Stevie. Um, if that was the case, would you not give up all the extra BS that you carry on? Mimi gets real and lets her emotions go. It seems she was tired and hurt from all of his antics and she finally released the pain through tears on the show.

More crying…Scrappy has a game of pool with his new “Boo”, Buckey. He goes on and on crying about this child support. He is such a freaking liar! He wants Buckey to believe that Erica is actually getting paid the child support. His broke ass was just telling his “BM”, Erica that he would pay her when he gets around to it. He did not even know that his daughter had her own bank accounts, yet he tells Buckey that he is the one who set the accounts up and that Erica just wants the money for herself. I think we can all agree by how he swooped his couch up out of the house where his child sleeps, he does not really put his child before himself. I mean, really? Take the sofa that your baby sits on?

K Michelle, I do love, but she is so wrong for complaining to her ex-boyfriend that she does not know why her relationships do not last. Could it be because you lead with your p#ssy-cat and not your personality? K Michelle goes on a date and throws that thing so far in his face, I am surprised he did not just start picking hair out of his teeth, right at the table. It is very obvious she has been emotionally scarred. She needs to learn how to love herself again, so that men can learn to love her as well. Love everything about her besides her “goods”. The ex gives her good advice, but she is clearly in denial.

Finally, Mimi gets her day in therapy. Stevie J accepts that he is a liar. I am relieved that he lets it out, but it must hurt to hear that he is no longer in love with Mimi. Although he is working on it, sometimes it is difficult to fall back in love with someone you once loved. He could not even definitively state that he was not in love with Joseline. That is a bit scary. Mimi should have her antennas completely in the air and stay aware of what happens around her, in regards to Stevie J.

The therapist quickly gets to the surface of the problems they are having. Especially, the enabling Mimi has been demonstrating over the years. He again delves deep into the root of the problems. Mimi had a non-existent mother who left her family for Scientology (the religion held by most Hollywood stars including Tom Cruise). Mimi lost that love in her life so she in turn tries to gain that love from others. Stevie on the other hand, never had a mother. She abandoned her family when Stevie was a baby. That goes to show why he can not respect women in the manner he should. This therapy session was indeed a good one. Their emotions were honest and it made me feel a little bad for Stevie J. Yes, he is a grown man who makes his own decisions, but he did not learn as a child where to channel his anger.

It seems next week we will be back to the fussing and fighting. Joseline will join the therapy session and she is a bit pissed when she learns that Mimi and Stevie J are working on the relationship they once had. While Joseline complained she wanted out of that contract giving Stevie 30% of her income. She claimed he did not own her and he was not leaving her “sex” alone. I guess she was wrong about both. For one, managers do not make 30%. That is very unusual. So I guess he does own her and by next week, we shall see him pass up that body too. *Most photos provided by VH1.com

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta: “Scrap” it Out

Love and Hip Hop Atlanta began with a visit from Stevie J to Joseline’s apartment. They confessed of the abortion that had taken place and Stevie was back pimp talking his way into Joseline’s heart. I thought she was a “G” and was going to stand her ground when she asked if he had ever loved her, he never said yes, but he reluctantly gave her a kiss that basically soothed her bruised heart.

Speaking of bruised hearts, which should really be a bruised ego by now, Mimi spoke to her BFF and K Michelle to update them on the latest drama. She explained her embarrassment as Stevie J pulled out Joseline’s pregnancy from his pocket. The ladies were in shock, but not really as Stevie is a proven repeat offender. Mimi claimed to be done with the entire Stevie J situation, outside of their child.

Joseline later headed to the dance studio to get her body “back in shape”, not that 1 month of pregnancy pounds on much weight. Stevie stopped by to see her dance moves after he talked her into keeping her head on track. Then, he creepishly watched her roll and twist her hips to her new latin track.

Once Joseline was smoothed over, Stevie J went to work his “magic” on his girlfriend, Mimi. I cannot say the magic worked as Mimi seemed to be as pissed as we have ever seen her, but really, can you blame her? Stevie never opened up his mouth to take responsibility for what he often dishes out. She continued to let him have it as he tried to play nonchalant as if nothing ever occurred. Sorry Stevie, that weird crooked-eyed look you give is not going to work this time! Stevie stuck his tail between his legs and “pimp walked” off the set, so to speak. This is the best real/acting drama I have ever seen, but ggod for Mimi who has finally seemed to stand her ground.

Scrappy moved out of Erica’s home and spinned completely out of control. While Erica was confirming to her mother the great relationship she has with Scrappy and she will say yes when he proposes (for the second time), Scrappy was at his new place rubbing [sun-screen] up and down the backside of “Buckey” or Shay [from Flavor of Love].

Those two claim to be friends, but did you peep when he was telling the story about Erica and Stevie J to Buckey…she was trying to confirm that he was only taking Erica’s side because that is his baby mama, and not because the two are an item. He agreed…lies! I do not understand why Scrappy is going to play the sh*t out of his baby mama on national television once again. Men have no respect these days! If you do not want to be with her, Scrappy, you should have told her when you were movin out and not once you confirm a place to live again. Scrappy is using her for the love she has for him. He will dump her anytime he gets a check like he has done in the past. What a shame. And to keep complementing on “Buckey’s” body…really? Erica Dixon has a nice body and it is better kept than Buckey’s. She is one cheeseburger away from being obese. I am not one to hate, but if you want to use the excuse that you like this girl body, your baby mama wins that hands down! Just keep it real and say you a hoe…that likes hoes…

Finally, the grand finale of all show endings. I really thought this would be some fake fight between the two men, but it turned out to be worth watching. Erica takes Scrappy to the studio Stevie J is recording at. When Stevie walks out, he is accompanied by his side kick/chick, Joseline. He came out correct and apologized for what he said about Erica. Scrappy wanted it to be clear why he was upset and they began to talk it out man to man. It was going well when Scrappy wanted to give Stevie a taste of his anger. Scrappy referred to calling Joseline a b!tc#. Then Joseline jumped in and began to argue. Joseline, not even aware of the situation, says that Stevie J and Erica were fucking (out of left field)…everyone was confused and all hell broke loose.

The cameras did not show the viewers who threw the first punch but it was a clear shot of Scrappy pounding the back of Stevie’s head as they fell into the bushes. While they were laying on the ground, Stevie J proceeds to bite Scrappy continuously…not even coming up for air. By now, all the body guards are holding their arms, but the biting continues. A bite though, Stevie? Who does that! I mean, in the male species anyway…?

Once the two were separated, Scrappy cut loose again. He is a big man and quick on his feet, might I add. He gets a hold of Stevie behind
a car and we [the viewers] really could not tell what was happening (I assume Scrappy had Stevie in a head lock cutting off his air), all I know is Stevie got up stumbling and almost like he had been knocked out while the body guards carried him to his feet. A lot more shouting and carrying-on went on, until everyone went home and Scrappy promised to “see about” them again.

The night ended with Erica updating Mimi and the other ladies on the incident. They all agreed that problems tend to follow Ms. Joseline, and that is a problem they are willing to solve. My gosh! When is it going to end! 😉
